He serves as Interim Pastor of Grace Baptist Church and Principal of the Christian School, Grace Christian Academy. His wife, Florita has always been active in ministry alongside him as is presently involved in child Evangelism Fellowship as Area Director; and trains many believers to effectively reach boys and girls with the gospel, discipling’s them and establishing them in bible believin

Faith Baptist Tabernacle was founded in the year 1974 by the late Cyril Gumbs. He was the Pastor from 1974 until he went home to be with the Lord in December of 2016.

When the church began, it was under the auspices of the Fundamental Baptist Mission of Trinidad and Tobago; then led by the late Rev. Paul Quamina.
The church became indigenous in August of 2014; and as such, was required to change its name; which it did to the current, Faith Fundamental Baptist Church, upon its registration with the government of Trinidad and Tobago.

Over the years, many ministries were started as God directed; including many outreach ministries (Open Air Services, Door to door visitation, Bible Club, Vacation Bible School, Religious Instruction (RI) in both elementary and secondary schools and crusades and special meetings.
The church has had VBS and Open-Air ministry in the rural areas of Blanchicheusses and Tabaquite which are both approximately 2 hours away from the church.
It was always Pastor Gumbs’ desire to serve beyond the walls of the church; even to the uttermost part; hence the church embarked upon Regional Mission’s trips to several islands, such as St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and Anguilla. An integral part of these Mission trips was VBS and Open-Air services.
Other ministries were and continue to be Annual Camps, Ladies Conferences, Ladies’ Prayer Retreat, Men’s Fellowship and Youth Ministry.
Over the years the church has demonstrated a care for members of the community; and recently a Sunshine care ministry has been started under the leadership od Sis Sharon Joyles- Melville and her team. Primarily it ministers to families of the community who are part of Sunday school and bible clubs. Many have had and continue to benefit from this service for which God is to be praised.
The Church has partnered with Child Evangelism Fellowship, to effectively train its children’s workers for ministry inside and outside its walls. Its teachers have even embarked upon advanced training to become Instructors of teachers (IOT).
Its current Pastor has been with the church from 2018. Both him and his wife, sis Kentish have been doing a tremendous work in teaching and training the church family for the work of the ministry for which they are ever grateful.
